2013 Volkswagen GTI review: Our proficient'south have

The Volkswagen GTI is a high-performance sibling of the Golf. It comes equally a two- or 4-door hatchback, both with an optional Autobahn Package that consists mostly of interior upgrades. The GTI seats five and competitors include the Mazdaspeed3, Subaru Impreza WRX and Mini Cooper S.

There are no major changes for 2013.

The GTI is based on the VW Golf game, and both received new outside styling a few years agone that made them more than athwart and menacing. The GTI has some unique features, including a thin, blackened honeycomb grille with two red outlining stripes; different forepart and rear bumpers; side skirts; and GTI badging. Information technology as well rides slightly lower than the Golf game. Exterior features include:

  • Standard xviii-inch blend wheels

The GTI tin can seat upward to five. Bolstered sport seats are standard in front, and there's a 60/xl-dissever bench in the rear. Interior features include:

  • Standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift

The Driver's Car

This car is meant to perform. With regular maintenance and clothing an tear items the vehicle has been corking and reliable. Been doing Volkswagens for over 20 years now. Even though I piece of work on them myself and for many others in my area these cars are amazing and fit my personal needs for performance and manner. As well as luxury.

A bit higher maintenance costs but worth it for me

Seating is fine and comfortable. Handling is fine. The DSG is awesome. When make clean the vehicle looks beautiful. To me anyways. The carbon buildup needs to be cleaned periodically. That is pricey. The DSG costs around 400 for service and happens every 40k. Exterior of that the maintenance costs aren't egregious. The headliner has seperated but I use thumb tacks to keep in place. The material is also separating on the driver side door. The rest of the interior has held up good. Machine is seven years old with 90k in mileage. Would I buy 1 again? I volition go along this GTI till it is no longer worth keeping. Then I may get the GTI R. VW's are good vehicles but y'all must do the maintenance. If you do the maintenance and so the vehicle is equally reliable as annihilation else out at that place. Don't do the maintenance and the vehicle will degrade quickly.

Great car for daily use!

The auto is everything nosotros were looking for and more! Comfortable, stylish, moderns goodies, it performs well, good gas mileage. I've had a handful of RWD sports cars in the past and this thing isn't much slower than them and it handles so well for FWD I have to say I am very impressed. But not merely that is the inside is comfy I wouldn't hesitate to have it on a cross land road trip. Not only that just the car would become 30mpg doing it which is impressive being it'due south a piddling turbo charged four cylinder. I haven't had a VW in the past only after having this one I wouldn't hesitate to get another they really do a adept chore with at that place cars. Like whatsoever car it has it quirks my gas cap locked itself closed and would not open. Merely after a little inquiry online and ten minutes of my time I was able to resolve that issue. I would recommend these cars to friends Only Purchase A STOCK Ane Non A MODIFIED One!
